Elite vest

Hi Karen, In general we recommend you size up for walking to build bone density so I recommend the medium. The ELITE has a snug and fitted performance cut which is especially tight around the neck. We see that most women prefer a roomier fit especially around the neck area. Each weight is 2.25 ounces and about the size of a domino. The lightest you can start with is the vest shell alone which is almost 1 lbs of material. You can then scale in 2.25 ounce increments. Let us know if we can assist you further.

Thanks for that, also I have just seen The Fit vest online. Given I am 60 years and will be using the vest for walking and some weight work to build bone strength would The Fit be adequate or would there be more advantages with the Elite? Thanks

My first recommendation is the FIT as long as you are okay with just a 10 lbs weight capacity. I use the FIT now exclusively but with 5-10 lbs of weight. For your application the FIT is perfect. Should you want more than 10 lbs you'll want to choose the ELITE vest. Let us know if we can assist you further.

I guess my dilemma is wondering if 10lbs is going to be enough being 163kg? How is a good way of finding that out? Is there more benefit to wearing heavier weight for osteoporosis? Thanks for your time in helping me

Hi Karen, We can't tell you exactly what weight to use and we recommend you consult a physician but there are lot of articles that can assist you in our FAQ section:

We've had many women use less than 10 lbs and many use more so it is up to your discretion. Hope that helps!

Okay great thanks for that I will buy the fit. I am in Holland. Are there places I can buy it from there? Do I have to purchase extra weight packs? Thanks

For purchasing in Europe your best bet would be Meijers Fitness or Stronger Wellness in the UK. All vests ship with weight - if you get the ELITE you can buy the 10 lbs vest and add more weight. I'm not sure what overseas inventory looks like so I can't confirm what they have available at this time. Let us know if we can assist you further.
