Removing corrosion on the Pro vest weights
Hi there! I've owned the Pro vest for a few years now and all of the metal
weights have developed considerable corrosion (I removed them to wash the vest). It's whitish in some areas and looks like normal rust in others. I can only guess this is simply from the salt in my sweat.
Can anyone advise me on how to remove the corrosion? If not, can someone let me know what kind of metal alloy it is? Then I could probably find a way to do so.
Thanks in advance!

Oops! My apologies… I should have tried to do a little more research beforehand!
I found out I can use baking soda to remove both the zinc rust (white stuff) and most of the regular rust from the underlying steel, where the zinc has already completely rusted away. Then I can coat them with enamel or lacquer paint to help avoid future corrosion.
But hopefully this will be helpful to anyone that might have this problem in the future.0
